National fire codes, enforced by your local fire district, require that certified technicians inspect all fire extinguishers. This is done to ensure that if and when an extinguisher is needed, it works properly and safely. [top]
Extinguishers need general service at least once a year. If an extinguisher has been used or lost pressure (the dial is not in the green), it needs immediate service. Every 6 years, an extinguisher must be taken apart, examined and recharged. Every 12 years, extinguishers must be hydro tested to make sure the bottle is still serviceable and holds pressure. AAA technicians can provide all of these services. [top]
It is the owners responsibility to ensure that his fire equipment is checked in a timely fashion. When you work with AAA Fire & Safety, we assist you by keeping a computer record of each inspection we perform. When it is time for your next inspection we will call you or simply come out to do the inspection. [top]
