DOES AAA INSTALL FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEMS?

HOW OFTEN SHOULD FIRE SPRINKLERS BE SERVICED?

WHAT ARE THE SERVICE INTERVALS FOR FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEMS?

Fire sprinkler systems require assessment quarterly and annually, as well as every 5, 10, and 50 years. Sprinkler alarm systems should be tested quarterly, and the full sprinkler system should be checked annually. You should have gauges and pipe interiors inspected every five years, and sprinkler heads tested at 20 and 50-year intervals.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR A FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM?

As guided by NFPA 13, fire sprinkler systems must be installed in new commercial buildings over 5,000 square feet, structures over 55 feet tall, and townhomes with more than two units. Fire sprinkler systems require a reliable water supply, proper pressure, freeze protection, and routine inspections.

WHAT IS THE 3X RULE FOR SPRINKLERS?

The 3x rule for sprinklers is an NFPA guideline that says fire sprinklers must be positioned away from obstructions (such as pipes or beams) by a distance at least three times the maximum dimension of that obstruction. This helps ensure the water spray pattern isn’t blocked and can safely cover the required area.

We've used AAA Fire Protection for longer than the 27 years I've worked here. We don't have to remember - they show up when it's time to service our fire extinguishers, replace them as needed, and make other suggestions as needed. We've been very happy with them!

Lenna Southland

I've used AAA at most of the multifamily communities I've worked at in Seattle and have been quite happy to work with their teams. The techs are always a delight to have on site, their support team members have been very helpful over the phone, and the office personnel are professional and courteous. They keep us on track with our inspections and help us to make sure our staff and residents are safe. Thanks for being great to work with!
