Commercial power generators need to be tested annually. We’ll test your generator and file your results to keep you in compliance.
Power Generator Testing
Make Sure Your Generator Is Ready
For businesses, losing power means losing dollars. That’s why you need to be able to rely on your generator in case of a power outage. To protect your business, AAA Fire Protection offers generator testing and certification. We follow the protocol laid out by the NFPA guidelines to keep your generator in compliance and ensure that your generator can safely support your business’ entire electrical load when the time comes.
The AAA Advantage
Our team of technicians provides testing and inspections for most commercial generators on the market. The length of your appointment will depend on the size of your building and the amount of equipment your generator supports. Elevators, shaft fans, and fire pumps all have to be verified on generator power. When you call to make an appointment, we can give you a more detailed description of what elements of your building need to be tested on generator power, and what your testing appointment will look like.
Once we have completed the testing protocol, we will file your results with the correct agency. We’ll let you know when your generator will have to be tested again, and our team will give you a heads up once that date gets closer. Our goal is to make your mandatory generator testing as easy and worry-free as possible. If you have more questions about our protocol, please give us a call.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
DOES AAA’S TESTING/CERTIFICATION PROCESS CHANGE DEPENDING ON THE TYPE OF GENERATOR?

DOES AAA FIRE CERTIFY BOTH COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIAL GENERATORS?
AAA Fire Protection only certifies commercial generators.
HOW DO I KNOW WHEN MY GENERATOR NEEDS TO BE TESTED?
DOES AAA FIRE PROVIDE MAINTENANCE OR INSTALL GENERATORS?
No, at this time we only provide certification and testing of existing generators. Should you need to replace your generator, we can point you in the right direction.
WHICH KINDS OF GENERATORS CAN AAA FIRE CERTIFY?
Our team can test and certify all types of generators. Our testing process varies primarily by the size of the building, the type of equipment, and overall electrical load, rather than the type of generator.
